  10. Also, because it is often necessary to distinguish which type of line
  11. is to be ended, we have introduced the following new command; it
  12. has the same argument syntax as that of |

  17. One example of its use is when the text in the last
  18. column of a |tabular| environment is set with |<DIV class="LEFT">|; then
  19. || can be used to indicate the end of a row of the
  20. |tabular|, whilst |
  21. <BR>| will indicate the end of a line of text in a
  22. paragraph within the column. This command can be used in the |array|
  23. environment as well as |tabular|, and also the extended versions of
  24. these environments offered by the <I>array</I> and <I>longtable</I>
  25. packages in the tools collection.
